Balarāma’s Pilgrimage Context
रुद्राणां च वसूनां च स्थानं यच्च बृहस्पते:,तानि सर्वाण्यतीतानि समपश्यत् ततो$डसित: । तदनन्तर रुद्र, वसु और बृहस्पतिके जो स्थान हैं, उन सबको लाँधचकर ऊपर उठे हुए जैगीषव्यका असित देवलने दर्शन किया
rudrāṇāṃ ca vasūnāṃ ca sthānaṃ yac ca bṛhaspateḥ | tāni sarvāṇy atītāni samapaśyat tato 'sitaḥ ||
毗湿摩波耶那说道:阿悉多·德瓦罗见到了诸鲁陀罗、诸婆苏以及布里哈斯帕提的住处;而当他越过这一切境界之后,又觉察到更在其上的所在——由此显明,这位圣仙的灵性攀升,甚至超越了崇高的神祇之位。
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Even the highest divine realms (those of major gods and celestial orders) are not the final goal; the sage’s vision suggests that true spiritual attainment involves transcending prestigious stations and seeing beyond them with clarity and detachment.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that the sage Asita Devala, through yogic or visionary power, beholds the abodes of the Rudras, Vasus, and Bṛhaspati, and then passes beyond them—depicting an upward movement through cosmic levels and a widening of spiritual perception.
