अफक्रान्ते तु नृपतौ स्कन्धावारनिवेशनात् | भयव्याकुलितं सर्व प्राद्रवन्नगरं प्रति,राजाके छावनीसे दूर भाग जानेपर सब लोग भयसे व्याकुल हो राजधानीकी ओर भाग चले
apakrānte tu nṛpatau skandhāvāra-niveśanāt | bhaya-vyākulitaṃ sarvaṃ prādravan nagaraṃ prati ||
桑阇耶说道:“当国王远离军营撤退之后,众人皆为恐惧所扰,纷纷奔向城中。”
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical and social consequence of leadership absence in crisis: when protective authority retreats, fear spreads quickly and communal stability collapses into self-preserving flight.
Sañjaya reports that the king has moved away from the army encampment; seeing this, the people become frightened and rush toward the city, suggesting disorder and loss of confidence in the battlefield situation.
