पर्वतं वारिधाराभि: सविद्युत इवाम्बुदा: | भीमसेनके नाराचोंको तेल पिलाया गया था। उनके द्वारा भीमसेनके हाथसे मार खाये हुए शत्रु-सैनिकोंने रणभूमिमें कुपित होकर सहदेवको अपने बाणोंकी वर्षासे ढक दिया, मानो बिजलीसहित मेघोंने जलकी धाराओंसे पर्वतको आच्छादित कर दिया हो ।।
sañjaya uvāca | parvataṃ vāridhārābhiḥ savidyuta ivāmbudāḥ | tato 'syāpatataḥ śūraḥ sahadevaḥ pratāpavān ||
三阇耶说道：“如电光闪烁之云，以万道雨瀑浇灌并遮蔽高山；敌方勇士亦复如是——在战场上因被毗摩塞那击倒而怒起，便以稠密箭雨覆压娑诃提婆。于是，那英勇而威猛的娑诃提婆挺身冲上前去。”
