(घृणां त्यक्त्वा प्रमादं च भूगोरस्त्रं च संस्मर | दृष्टिं मुष्टिं च संधानं स्मृत्वा रामोपदेशजम्‌ । धनंजयं जयप्रेप्सु: प्रत्युदूग॒च्छ महारथम्‌ ।।

arjuna uvāca | ghṛṇāṃ tyaktvā pramādaṃ ca bhṛgor astraṃ ca saṃsmara | dṛṣṭiṃ muṣṭiṃ ca sandhānaṃ smṛtvā rāmopadeśajam || dhanañjayaṃ jayaprepsuḥ pratyudgaccha mahāratham || eṣā vidīryate senā dhārtarāṣṭrī samantataḥ | arjunasya bhayāt tūṛṇaṃ nighnataḥ śātravān bahūn ||

阿周那说道:“抛却不合时宜的怜悯与疏忽;忆念婆利古后裔(帕拉舒罗摩)所授之神兵。谨记罗摩的教诲:目光钉住靶心,牢握弓把,稳稳搭箭、定准其向。怀抱胜利之志,前进迎战持弓的檀那阇耶——那位大车战勇士。因为达尔塔罗湿陀罗的军阵正从四面八方被撕裂——皆因惧怕阿周那;他迅疾斩落众多敌人。”
