The verse teaches that wise guidance functions like a ‘boat’ that carries one across overwhelming grief and confusion. Ethically, it emphasizes seeking right counsel and taking refuge in steadfast wisdom rather than being swept away by sorrow.
Sañjaya expresses relief and gratitude, saying that through Acyuta’s (Kṛṣṇa’s) wisdom they—together with their ministers—have crossed a figurative ocean of grief and are no longer without support.
