Educational Q&A

Even amid warfare, responsibility includes attentiveness to leadership and the welfare of one’s own side; the verse highlights disciplined concern—checking on the king’s condition—without abandoning the larger duty of the battle.

Sañjaya reports that Kaunteya (Arjuna) had stepped back from fighting with the intention of seeing King Yudhiṣṭhira; Sañjaya confirms that Arjuna has now seen him and that Yudhiṣṭhira is unharmed and well.
