Adhyāya 41 — Kṛṣṇa’s Battlefield Briefing and the Renewal of the Great Engagement
तस्मादहं पाण्डववासुदेवौ योत्स्ये यत्नात् कर्म तत् पश्य मेउद्य । “अतः मैं दुर्योधनका हित
tasmād ahaṃ pāṇḍava-vāsudevau yotsye yatnāt karma tat paśya me ’dya |
三阇耶说道:“因此,今日我将竭力与般度之子(阿周那)及婆苏提婆(奎师那)交战。且看我所行之事——以审慎而坚决的努力而为。”
संजय उवाच
The verse foregrounds intentional action (yatna) in a dharmic crisis: the speaker frames battle as a chosen deed to be carried out with resolve, highlighting the ethical weight of karma—one must own one’s action and its consequences.
Sañjaya reports a warrior’s declaration of intent to engage Arjuna and Kṛṣṇa in combat that very day, emphasizing determination and inviting the listener to witness the impending act on the battlefield.
