स भीम॑ शरधाराभिस्ताडयामास पार्थिव: | पर्वतं वारिधाराभिस्तपान्ते जलदो यथा,जैसे वर्षा-ऋतुमें बादल पर्वतके शिखरपर जलकी धारा गिराता है, उसी प्रकार राजा भगदत्त भीमसेनपर बाणोंकी वर्षा करते हुए उन्हें पीड़ित करने लगे
sa bhīmaṁ śaradhārābhis tāḍayāmāsa pārthivaḥ | parvataṁ vāridhārābhis tapānte jalado yathā ||
三阇耶说道:那国王(婆伽达多)以连绵不断的箭流击打毗摩,使其备受折磨——如同夏末雨云将急湍倾注于山巅。
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights the battlefield ethic of steadfast endurance under overwhelming pressure: a warrior’s resolve is measured not only by striking power but by the capacity to remain unshaken when assailed relentlessly.
Sañjaya describes Bhagadatta repeatedly striking Bhīma with dense volleys of arrows, comparing the arrow-storm to a rain-cloud pouring torrents on a mountain at summer’s end.
