प्रयुक्ता रथिभिर्बाणा भीमवेगा: सुतेजना: । ते निपेतुर्महाराज नागेषु च रथेषु च
sañjaya uvāca | prayuktā rathibhir bāṇā bhīmavegāḥ sutejanāḥ | te nipetur mahārāja nāgeṣu ca ratheṣu ca |
三阇耶说道:大王啊,战车勇士所射之箭——迅疾可怖,锋芒炽烈——如雨点般落在战象与战车之上。此景昭示:在战斗的狂热里,武艺与怒火会化作不分彼此的毁灭,同样摧折人命与战兽,使这场冲突的道德重负愈加沉重。
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights the brutal momentum of war: once weapons are unleashed, their force spreads beyond individual rivalry to widespread harm. It invites reflection on the ethical burden of violence even when framed as kṣatriya duty.
Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that chariot-warriors have released swift, blazing arrows, which are striking war-elephants and chariots—depicting an intense phase of the battlefield exchange.
