Bhīṣma-parva Adhyāya 16 — Saṃjaya’s Boon, Bhīṣma’s Protection, and the Dawn Arraying of Armies

The verse highlights the symmetry of power and preparedness on both sides, intensifying the moral gravity of the coming battle: when equally matched kinsmen stand armed, victory cannot be treated as simple triumph, and the consequences demand sober reflection on dharma and responsibility.
Sanjaya reports to King Dhritarashtra that both the Kauravas and the Pandavas are fully armed; their formidable weapons and shining armor are visible, signaling that the armies are ready and the confrontation is imminent.
