तामापतन्तीं सहसा हेमपट्टवि भूषिताम् । शरै: पञ्चाशता द्रोणो वारयामास संयुगे,उस स्वर्णपत्रविभूषित गदाको सहसा अपनी ओर आती देख द्रोणाचार्यने युद्धस्थलमें पचासों बाण मारकर उसे दूर गिरा दिया

tām āpatantīṃ sahasā hemapaṭṭavibhūṣitām |
śaraiḥ pañcāśatā droṇo vārayāmāsa saṃyuge ||
三阇耶说道：见那钉头槌骤然向己猛扑，金箍金饰灿然其上，德罗那便在战阵之中以五十支箭迎击，遏其来势，迫使其退却。此景彰显沙场之法：当机立断，以力制止——武士之责在于迅速消弭迎面之威胁，不为华丽外相所动。
