वैशम्पायन उवाच
This line is a colophon rather than a doctrinal verse; its function is to frame the text, marking the chapter boundary and indicating the thematic shift toward the commencement of procuring necessary materials—often implying orderly preparation and disciplined execution of duties.
Vaiśampāyana signals the close of the sixty-fourth chapter in the Aśvamedhika Parva’s Anugītā section and points to the beginning of the ‘dravyānayana’ episode, i.e., the initiation of arrangements and procurement connected with the forthcoming undertaking.
