Kṛṣṇa’s Departure, Auspicious Omens, and the Opening of the Uttaṅka Dialogue
dhanañjayagṛhān eva yayau kṛṣṇas tu vīryavān | tatrārcito yathānyāyaṃ sarvakāmair upasthitaḥ ||
The verse highlights dharmic hospitality: a worthy guest—especially one regarded as divine or supremely virtuous—should be received with proper honor (yathā-nyāya) and provided all fitting comforts and services. Ethical conduct is shown through reverence, generosity, and correct observance of social duty.
Vaiśaṃpāyana narrates that Kṛṣṇa goes directly to Arjuna’s home, where Arjuna’s household receives him with due ceremonial respect and makes every desired provision available, indicating a formal and affectionate welcome.
