परिवादकथा नित्य देवब्राह्मणवैदिकी,देवता, ब्राह्मण और वेदकी सदा निन्दा करना, दान न देना, अभिमान, मोह, क्रोध, असहनशीलता और प्राणियोंके प्रति मात्सर्य--ये सब तामस बर्ताव हैं
parivāda-kathā nityaṁ deva-brāhmaṇa-vaidikī | adānaṁ māna-moha-krodhāḥ asahiṣṇutā ca prāṇiṣu mātsaryaṁ—etāni sarvāṇi tāmasāni vartanāni ||
风神婆由说道：“习以为常地搬弄诽谤之言——尤其诋毁诸神、婆罗门与吠陀传统——并且吝于施与、傲慢、自迷、嗔怒、不堪忍受，以及对众生怀嫉妒之心：这一切皆为昏暗性（tāmasa）的行径。”
