माल्यैर्गन्धैश्व विविधैरर्चयित्वा यथाविधि । कुल्यानि तेषां संयोज्य तदाचख्युर्महीपते:

Transliteration

vaiśampāyana uvāca |

mālyair gandhaiś ca vividhair arcayitvā yathāvidhi |

kulyāni teṣāṃ saṃyojya tadācakhyur mahīpateḥ ||

Translation

毗湿摩波耶那说：他们依仪轨以多种花鬘与芬芳香膏恭敬供奉，继而收拢并安置其遗骨，然后将此事禀告大地之主。此段强调幸存者之义务：以敬心完成丧葬之责——凭借正当仪式、追念与如实上报，将战后余烬转化为达摩之行。
