Kuntī–Vyāsa Dialogue on Durvāsā’s Boon and Karṇa’s Birth
धृतराष्ट्रं समुद्दिश्य ददौ स पृथिवीपति: । सुवर्ण रजतं गाश्न शय्याश्व सुमहाधना:
vaiśampāyana uvāca |
dhṛtarāṣṭraṃ samuddiśya dadau sa pṛthivīpatiḥ |
suvarṇa-rajataṃ gāś ca śayyāśvān sumahādhanān ||
毗湿摩波衍那说道：国王由提施提罗，这位大地之主，亲口称呼持国王（Dhṛtarāṣṭra）之名而施与供献：黄金白银、牛群、珍贵的床榻与骏马；并分别为持国王、甘达丽与昆蒂行最上布施以致敬。此举彰显国王守持达摩之坚志：战祸既歇，仍当奉养长者，行施不辍。
