Vyāsa’s Inquiry into Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Tapas and the Identification of Vidura with Dharma
अनुज्ञातास्त्वया राजन् गमिष्यामो विकल्मषा: । युधिषछ्िर बोले--महाराज! आपके आशीर्वादसे आनन्दित होकर हमलोग कुशलपूर्वक राजधानी लौट जायूँगे। राजन! इसके लिये आप हमें आज्ञा दें। आपकी आज्ञा पाकर हम पापरहित हो यहाँसे यात्रा करेंगे
anujñātās tvayā rājan gamiṣyāmo vikalmaṣāḥ |
由提施提罗说道:“大王啊,若蒙你准许,我们便可无过而去。承你祝福,我们将平安返回都城;因此,请命我们启程。得你许可之后,我们将从此处出发,不染罪垢。”
युधिछिर उवाच
The verse highlights dharmic conduct: one should not act independently in sensitive transitions (like departure) but seek rightful permission and blessings from elders/authority, so that one’s action remains ethically “untainted” (vikalmaṣa).
Yudhiṣṭhira respectfully addresses the king, requesting formal leave to depart and return to the capital, emphasizing that with the king’s consent and blessing their journey will be safe and morally blameless.
