धृतराष्ट्रदर्शनाय पाण्डवानां प्रयाणम् | The Pāṇḍavas Prepare to Visit Dhṛtarāṣṭra

एक समयकी बात है, परम क्रोधी तपस्वी ब्राह्मण दुर्वासा मेरे पिताके यहाँ भिक्षाके लिये आये थे। मैंने उन्हें अपने द्वारा की गयी सेवाओंसे संतुष्ट कर लिया ।।

vaiśampāyana uvāca | ekaṃ samayaṃ paramakrodhī tapasvī brāhmaṇo durvāsā mama pituḥ gṛhe bhikṣārthaṃ samāgataḥ | mayā svasevayā sa tuṣṭaḥ kṛtaḥ || śaucena tv āgasas tyāgaiḥ śuddhena manasā tathā | kopasthāneṣv api mahatsv akupyan na kadācana ||

毗舍摩波耶那说:“有一次,那位极其暴烈的婆罗门苦行者杜尔瓦萨来到我父亲家中乞食。我以所尽的侍奉使他称心。凭借清净的行持,远离过失,并以澄明之心不断敬奉他;纵有再大的激怒之因出现,我也从未对他动怒。”
