Go-dāna-stuti and Ghṛta-Japa
Praise of cow-gift and ghee-centered recitation
देवव्रती स्याद् वृषभप्रदाने वेदावाप्तिगोयुगस्य प्रदाने । तथा गवां विधिमासाद्य यज्वा लोकानग्रयान् विन्दते नाविधिज्ञ:
bhīṣma uvāca | devavratī syād vṛṣabhapradāne vedāvāptigoyugasya pradāne | tathā gavāṁ vidhim āsādya yajvā lokān agrayān vindate nāvidhijñaḥ ||
毗湿摩说道：“施赠一头公牛者，成为天誓者（devavrata），于神圣戒律中坚住不移；施赠一对牛只（母牛与公牛）者，得以通达吠陀，获真实的圣学；依正法仪轨而行施牛之礼者，得至最上诸界。然而不知所定之法则者，不能获得殊胜之果。”
