प्राणदानाद्धि परमं न दानमिह विद्यते । श्रुतं हि ते महाबाहो लोमशस्यापि तद्धबच:

Transliteration

prāṇadānād dhi paramaṁ na dānam iha vidyate | śrutaṁ hi te mahābāho lomaśasyāpi tad vacaḥ ||

Translation

毗湿摩说道：“确然，在此世间，没有任何布施高于赐命之施。因为当人把食物施与他人时，便如同把那人的呼吸也一并赐下。噢，臂力无双者，你也从仙人洛摩沙（Lomaśa）那里听过这同一句箴言。”
