Gopradāna-phalasaṃprāpti: Nāciketa’s Vision of Vaivasvata’s Realms (गोप्रदानफलसम्प्राप्तिः — नाचिकेतोपाख्यानम्)
तस्मादन्नं परं लोके सर्वलोकेषु कथ्यते । अन्नाद् बल॑ च तेजश्न प्राणिनां वर्धते सदा
tasmād annaṃ paraṃ loke sarvalokeṣu kathyate | annād balaṃ ca tejaś ca prāṇināṃ vardhate sadā ||
毗湿摩说道：“因此，食物被宣称为此世之至高——确然，乃至一切世界皆然。由食物而来，众生的力量与生命的光辉恒常增长。故在达摩的伦理之中，供养他人、使其得以存续，被尊为首要之责；因为生命、精力与行义之能，皆系于滋养。”
