Karma-Phala Rahasya and the Ethics of Dāna (कर्मफल-रहस्यं दानधर्मश्च)
इस प्रकार श्रीमह्याभारत अनुशासनपर्वके अन्तर्गत दानधर्मपर्वमें दैव और पुरुषार्थका निर्देशविषयक छठा अध्याय पूरा हुआ
cakṣur dadyān mano dadyād vācaṃ dadyāc ca sūnṛtām | anuvrajed upāsīta sa yajñaḥ pañca-dakṣiṇaḥ ||
毗湿摩说道：“当有宾客至家，应以欢悦之目相迎；以专注之心奉事；以柔和而真实之言慰悦。宾客将去，当随送片刻；宾客在时，当尽心于迎接与敬奉。此五事，为居家者所行，即具五种‘达克希那’（dakṣiṇā，祭礼酬谢）的祭祀——日常之雅吉那（yajña），以待客与德行为本。”
