उपतिष्ठन्ति पुण्यानि सदा भूमिप्रदं नरम् । शड्खभद्रासनं छत्र॑ वराश्वा वरवाहनम्,भूमिदान करनेवाले मनुष्यके यहाँ सदा पुण्यके फलस्वरूप शंख, सिंहासन, छत्र, उत्तम घोड़े और श्रेष्ठ वाहन उपस्थित होते हैं
upatiṣṭhanti puṇyāni sadā bhūmipradaṃ naram | śaṅkha-bhadrāsanaṃ chatraṃ varāśvā vara-vāhanam ||
毗湿摩说:“福德之果常随施地之人不离。作为那功德的显相,他常得螺号、胜妙宝座、王者华盖、良马与上等车乘相伴。”
भीष्म उवाच
That donating land (bhūmidāna) is a highly meritorious act, and its fruits are described as enduring prosperity and honor—expressed through royal emblems like the conch, throne, and parasol, along with excellent horses and conveyances.
In the Anushasana Parva’s instruction on dharma, Bhishma continues teaching about gifts and their results, stating that merits constantly accompany the giver of land and manifest as signs of status, protection, and well-being.
