समृद्ध: सम्प्रयच्छ त्वं ब्राह्मणे भ्यो युधिष्ठिर । धेनूरनडुहो 5न्नानि च्छत्र॑ वासांस्युपानहौ,युधिष्ठिर! तुम समृद्धिशाली हो, इसलिये ब्राह्मणोंको गाय, बैल, अन्न, छाता, जूता और वस्त्र दान करते रहो
samṛddhaḥ samprayaccha tvaṃ brāhmaṇebhyo yudhiṣṭhira | dhenūr anaḍuho 'nnāni chatraṃ vāsāṃsy upānahau ||
毗湿摩说道:“噢,坚战啊,你既富足,就当不断施与婆罗门——牛、耕牛、粮食、伞盖、衣服与鞋履。”此教诫把富贵视为托付之物,应以恒常而切实的布施转化为功德,用以扶持学问、祭仪生活与社会福祉。
भीष्म उवाच
Prosperity should be expressed as regular, concrete charity—especially to Brahmanas—through gifts that sustain livelihood and dharmic life (cattle, food, clothing, protection, and basic necessities).
In the Anushasana Parva’s instruction section, Bhishma continues advising King Yudhishthira on righteous conduct after the war, urging him to use his wealth to support Brahmanas through specific forms of donation.
