वस्त्रै: शुभेरवच्छाद्य भोजनोपस्करै: सह । सर्वमादीपयामास च्यवनो भृगुनन्दन:

vastraiḥ śubhair avacchādya bhojanopaskaraiḥ saha | sarvam ādīpayāmāsa cyavano bhṛgunandanaḥ ||

毗湿摩说道:遮婆那以华美衣帛覆蔽一切——连同饮食之备与器具——婆利古族之荣光遮婆那遂将整套陈设尽付烈焰。此段昭示一桩有意而具价值取向的举动:苦行者断然拒绝奢华的款待,以节制为德,彰显内在自律高于外在华饰。
