Putra-Bheda: Kṣetraja, Kṛtaka, Apasada, and Saṃskāra Determinations (पुत्रभेद-निर्णयः)
तदा चैतत् कुलं नास्ति यदा शोचन्ति जामय:
tadā caitat kulaṃ nāsti yadā śocanti jāmayaḥ
毗湿摩说道：“当一个家族的妇女被迫哀恸之时，这个族系便等同于覆亡。若家中的儿媳与女儿因受苦与被冷落而沉入悲痛，宗族的根基便会崩塌。她们在忧愤中所诅咒的宅第，将变得荒凉，如同被自身业行所毁。噢，大地之主！失却‘室利’——福泽与吉祥——的家宅，既不以尊严而光耀，也不能增长兴盛。”

In the Anuśāsana Parva, Bhīṣma instructs the king on dharma. Here he warns that neglecting and harming the women of a household leads to the destruction of the clan and the desolation of the home, as if ruined by its own actions.
