Chapter 34
सम्यग् यजन्ति ये चेष्टी: क्षान्ता दान्ता जितेन्द्रिया: । सत्यं धर्म क्षितिं गाश्न॒ तान् नमस्यामि यादव
nārada uvāca | samyag yajanti ye ceṣṭīḥ kṣāntā dāntā jitendriyāḥ | satyaṃ dharmaṃ kṣitiṃ gāś ca tān namasyāmi yādava yadunandana ||
那罗陀说道:“雅达婆啊,我向那些依正法如仪举行祭祀与圣仪者致敬——他们忍耐、自制、克胜诸根,并敬奉真实、法、土地与母牛。此等之人护持道德秩序,理当受礼。”
नारद उवाच
True worthiness is defined by disciplined conduct: performing sacred duties correctly, practicing patience and restraint, mastering the senses, and honoring foundational supports of dharma—truth, righteousness, the earth that sustains life, and the cow as a symbol of nourishment and non-violence.
Nārada addresses Kṛṣṇa (as Yādava, Yadunandana) and declares whom he considers worthy of reverence: those who properly perform yajña and observances and who embody ethical virtues and reverence for key dharmic principles.
