त्वां तु शोचामि यो लब्ध्वा ब्राह्माण्यं न बुभूषसे । मतंगने कहा--देवराज! मैं तो यों ही दुःखसे आतुर हो रहा हूँ

Transliteration

tvāṃ tu śocāmi yo labdhvā brāhmaṇyaṃ na bubhūṣase |

Translation

摩檀伽曰：“我为你而悲——你既得婆罗门之位与其尊严，却不愿守持。正为你我而哀叹：你以出生便具备本应以行持拥护之物，然而你却拒绝使之成为自身之道。”
