दुर्वासा जमदन्निश्चव मार्कण्डेयोडथ गालव: । भरद्वाजो<थ रैभ्यक्ष यवक्रीतस्त्रितस्तथा
vaiśampāyana uvāca |
durvāsā jamadagnis ca mārkaṇḍeyo ’tha gālavaḥ |
bharadvājo ’tha raibhyaś ca yavakrītaḥ tritas tathā ||
毗湿摩波耶那说道:“(在那些圣仙之中)有杜尔婆娑、阇摩达格尼、摩尔坎德耶,继而是伽罗婆;婆罗陀婆阇以及赖毗耶;耶婆克利多,也同样有特里塔。”在此处,史诗继续以敬辞列举诸ṛṣi——以苦行、学识与道德威权著称者——含蓄地将他们呈为“法”(dharma)的典范与见证,其生平与教诲引导正行。
वैशम्पायन उवाच
By enumerating revered sages, the text underscores that dharma is preserved and transmitted through realized teachers; their reputations—ascetic discipline, learning, and moral force—serve as ethical reference points for society and kingship.
Vaiśampāyana continues a formal list of ṛṣis within Anuśāsana-parvan’s instructional context, naming several well-known sages as part of a broader catalogue meant to honor them and invoke their authority in matters of conduct and tradition.
