Tīrtha-vaṃśa Upadeśa: Instruction on the Fruits of Sacred Waters
दूतसंव्यवहाराश्व निष्परीक्षाश्व मानवा: । प्राणिहिंसाप्रवृत्ता श्व ते वै निरयगामिन:
dūtasaṁvyavahārāś ca niṣparīkṣāś ca mānavāḥ | prāṇihiṁsāpravṛttāś ca te vai nirayagāminaḥ ||
毗湿摩说道：凡不具辨别之智而充当使者者——不能如实考察人或事——又常以伤害众生为业者，必定堕入地狱。此偈告诫：外交、调停等公职须以道德审察与不害（阿希姆萨）为本；若轻率而残酷地行之，便会招致严重的伦理沉沦。
