तीर्थवंशोपदेशः
Tīrtha-vaṃśa Upadeśa: Instruction on the Fruits of Sacred Waters
राजन! जो गाते-बजाते, नाचते, खेल-कूदकर तमाशा दिखाते, व्यर्थकी बातें बनाते और पहलवानी करते हैं, वे भी निमन्त्रण पानेके अधिकारी नहीं हैं ।।
rājan! hotāro vṛṣalānāṃ ca vṛṣalādhyāpakās tathā | tathā vṛṣalaśiṣyāś ca rājan nārhanti ketanam ||
毗湿摩说道：“大王啊，那些歌唱奏乐者、舞者、以游戏与技艺作戏娱人者、妄言无益者、以及角力摔跤者，也不配受邀。又者，人中之主啊，为首陀罗（Śūdra）主持祭祀者、教导首陀罗者，或反而拜首陀罗为师以求学、乃至事奉其人者，同样不应被邀请参加 śrāddha（祭祖追荐）之礼。”
