दरिद्रश्चनासवर्णश्र॒ ममायमिति पार्थिव: । न दित्सति सुतां तस्मै तां विप्राय सुदर्शनाम्‌

Transliteration

daridraś cānāsavarṇaś ca mamāyam iti pārthivaḥ | na ditsati sutāṃ tasmai tāṃ viprāya sudarśanām ||

Translation

毗湿摩说道：国王心想：“此人贫穷，而且又非与我同等种姓。”因此不愿将容貌出众的女儿苏达尔沙那许配给那位婆罗门。
