(Rudra-Stavarāja) — Exempla of Śiva’s Boons and the Hymn’s Phalaśruti

Educational Q&A

Steady faith (āstikya) and sincere trust (śraddhā), reinforced by long-standing practice of praise and devotion across lifetimes, culminate in inner radiance and spiritual potency (tejas).

Vāyudeva is describing the type of human devotee who is foremost in belief and faith, and he characterizes their accumulated devotional merit—built through many births of hymn-praise—as the cause of their exceptional spiritual brilliance.
