कीर्तितान् कीर्तयिष्यामि सर्वपापप्रमोचनान् । देवताओंके अनन्तर समस्त पापोंसे मुक्त करनेवाले तपस्यामें बढ़े-चढ़े तपःसिद्ध ब्रह्मर्षियोंके प्र्यात नाम बतलाता हूँ
Bhīṣma uvāca — kīrtitān kīrtayiṣyāmi sarva-pāpa-pramocanān | devatābhyaḥ anantaram samasta-pāpebhyo mukta-karaṇe tapasyāṁ baḍhe-caḍhe tapaḥ-siddhān brahmarṣīṇāṁ priyān nāmāni kathayāmi ||
毗湿摩言：“今我将再宣已被称颂之名——能解脱一切罪垢之名。继诸天之后，我将告汝诸婆罗摩仙（Brahmarishi）之可敬名号：彼等以苦行（tapas）成就，精进于苦行，能令众生脱离诸罪。”
