श्रुतै: सर्वत्र जगति ब्रह्मलोकावतारितै: । सत्यैस्तत्‌ परमं ब्रह्म ब्रह्म॒प्रोक्ते सनातनम्‌

śrutaiḥ sarvatra jagati brahmalokāvatāritaiḥ | satyais tat paramaṃ brahma brahma-prokte sanātanam ||

风神(Vāyu)说道:“这些名号自梵天界(Brahmā-loka)传降人间,遍于世间为众生恭敬聆闻,皆真实不虚、灵验无失。这便是至上梵(Brahman)——由梵天亲口宣说的永恒赞歌。因此,这些名号被视为已成就,能圆满诸愿。噢,耶度族之冠的奎师那(Kṛṣṇa)!此古老的湿婆赞(Śiva-stotra)胜过诸赞,具足吠陀之神髓,为一切颂赞之首;能赐天界之果,利益一切众生,招来吉祥。我将为你诵说——你当从我口中专心聆听;你既是大自在天(Mahādeva)的虔诚奉者,便应受持这本具湿婆自性之赞歌。”
