Śiva-stavarāja: Upamanyu’s Preface and Initiation of the Śarva-Nāma Enumeration
Anuśāsana-parva 17

The verse exalts the supreme principle as the source and knower of Vedic revelation and as the highest refuge (gati) for those established in Brahman, emphasizing both transcendent knowledge (brahmavit) and immanent multiplicity (anantarūpa, naikātmā).
Vāyu is delivering a eulogy-like description of the supreme being, listing epithets that connect cosmic radiance (Sun-like splendor) with scriptural authority (Vedas/Brahman) and the ultimate spiritual destination for seekers.
