Shloka 20

अभ्यद्रवन्त देवांस्ते सहस्नाणि दशैव हि । ततस्तैरदिता देवा: शरणं वासवं ययु:

abhyadravant devāṁs te sahasrāṇi daśaiva hi | tatas tair aditā devāḥ śaraṇaṁ vāsavaṁ yayuḥ ||

毗湿摩说道:那些袭击者向诸神猛冲而来——其数确为一万。诸神被他们骚扰压迫,痛苦不堪,遂奔逃而去,投向婆娑婆(Vāsava,即因陀罗)求庇护。此事重申《摩诃婆罗多》反复申明的伦理:当权势被滥用以折磨他人,受害者便寻求正当的保护;而领袖之责,正在于庇护众生、恢复秩序。
