स वरैश्छन्दितस्तेन नूपो वचनमत्रवीत्‌ । सहस्रबाहुर्भूयां वै चमूमध्ये गृहेडन्यथा

Transliteration

sa varaiś chanditas tena nūpo vacanam abravīt | sahasrabāhur bhūyāṃ vai camūmadhye gṛhe ’nyathā ||

Translation

毗湿摩说道：那位圣仙催他择愿，国王答道：“愿我在战阵之中、军旅之间，化为千臂之人；而在家中则仍如常（唯二臂）。愿战场上诸军士皆见我千臂。”
