Dharma is marked by humility and reverence: avoiding arrogance and vanity, honoring gods and the learned, showing respect through salutations, maintaining a serene demeanor, and speaking gently and sweetly.
Maheśvara is describing the recognizable traits of a virtuous person—someone whose inner discipline appears outwardly as humility, worshipful respect, courteous behavior, and pleasant speech.
