न कुट्यां नोदके सड़्ो न वाससि न चासने । न त्रिदण्डे न शयने नाग्नौ न शरणालये
na kuṭyāṃ nodake saṅgo na vāsasi na cāsane | na tridaṇḍe na śayane nāgnau na śaraṇālaye ||
大自在天(摩诃提婆)说道:“凡渴求解脱(mokṣa)之人,不应执著——不执著于茅庵,不执著于水,不执著于衣服与坐具;亦不执著于三杖(tridaṇḍa),不执著于床榻,不执著于圣火,乃至不执著于任何庇护之所。求解脱者当舍弃占有之心与对外在依凭的倚赖,即便那些依凭与苦行之道相关亦然。”
श्रीमहेश्वर उवाच
A seeker of liberation should not form attachment even to the minimal supports of ascetic life—dwelling, water, clothing, seat, staff, bed, fire, or shelter. True renunciation is inward: freedom from possessiveness and dependence, not merely changing external lifestyle.
