毗湿摩曰:其后,蒙福的仙人那罗陀——那罗延之挚友——开始叙述商羯罗(湿婆)与乌玛(帕尔瓦蒂)之间曾经发生的对话。

The verse functions as a narrative hinge: authoritative dharma-instruction is introduced through a divine dialogue (Shiva and Parvati) transmitted by Narada and framed by Bhishma for Yudhishthira, emphasizing that ethical teaching is grounded in revered exemplars and reliable transmission.
Bhishma tells Yudhishthira that Narada now begins recounting the conversation between Shiva (Shankara) and Parvati (Uma), preparing the listener for the ensuing description and the dharma-focused discussion that follows in the chapter.
