वचनीयस्य यो भुड्क्ते तमाहु: शोणितं हृदम् । पिशुनं भोजन भुड्धक्ते ब्रह्म॒हत्यासमं विदु:
vacanīyasya yo bhuṅkte tam āhuḥ śoṇita-kuṇḍaṃ hṛdam | piśunaṃ bhojanaṃ bhuṅkte brahma-hatyā-samaṃ viduḥ |
毗湿摩说道:“凡食用品行可责之人的食物者,心中被称为‘血坑’。若食用出自搬弄是非、诽谤之人的食物,则此食行被视为等同于梵杀罪(brahma-hatyā,杀害婆罗门之罪)。因此,凡以轻慢、侮辱之态所施之食,切不可受。”
भीष्म उवाच
Food is ethically charged: accepting a meal from a censurable or slanderous person is treated as gravely sinful, and one should refuse food offered with disrespect or contempt.
In Bhishma’s instruction on dharma (Anushasana Parva), he lays down norms of purity and moral discernment in accepting hospitality, warning Yudhishthira about the spiritual consequences of eating from the wrong sources.
