Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ
Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
विकर्णश्व महादेवं तथा भक्तसुखावहम् | प्रसाद्य भगवान् सिद्धि प्राप्तवान् मधुसूदन,मधुसूदन! ऐश्वर्यशाली विकर्णने भक्तसुखदायक महादेवजीको प्रसन्न करके मनोवांछित सिद्धि प्राप्त की थी
vikarṇaś ca mahādevaṁ tathā bhakta-sukhāvaham | prasādya bhagavān siddhiṁ prāptavān madhusūdanaḥ ||
婆苏提婆说道：“同样，毗迦尔那以虔诚安抚大天（摩诃提婆）——那位令信众得乐的主——遂获得所求的成就（悉地）。因此，摩度苏陀那（奎师那）宣示：对湿婆的真挚奉爱（bhakti）与恭敬礼拜能赐予成功；神恩回应的是诚实的信心，而非权势或门第。”
