Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ
Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
grahasyathātibalasyāḍre varadattasya dhīmataḥ | na śastrāṇi vahantyāḍre cakravajñaśatāny api ||
The verse underscores that brute force and even the finest weapons may fail against one protected by a divine boon; ethical discernment and understanding of higher powers (boons, vows, dharma) are crucial, not merely martial strength.
Vāsudeva describes a formidable figure named Graha, who—having received a boon—cannot be harmed even by numerous powerful weapons likened to the cakra and vajra, emphasizing his extraordinary invulnerability.
