Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ

Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony

वाय्वाहारैरम्बुपैर्जप्यनित्यै: सम्प्रक्षालैयोंगिभिर्ध्याननित्यै: । धूमप्राशैरूष्मपै: क्षीरपैश्न संजुष्टं च ब्राह्मणेन्द्रै: समन्तात्‌

vāyvāhārair ambupair japyānityaiḥ samprakṣālair yogibhir dhyānanityaiḥ | dhūmaprāśair ūṣmapaiḥ kṣīrapaiś ca saṃjuṣṭaṃ ca brāhmaṇendraiḥ samantāt ||

那处四面皆有卓越的婆罗门环居其旁。有的唯以风为食,有的仅以饮水维生;有的恒常诵持圣言真言。亦有苦行者以种种内净之法涤除其心,而瑜伽行者则长住禅定。又有人以祭火之烟为食,以苦行之热为养,或唯饮乳而活——各各以克制与自持,显现达摩之行。
