पितरस्तेन गच्छन्ति सोमलोकमसंशयम् | जो नदी या तालाबके तटसे अपने सींगोंद्वारा कीचड़ उछालकर खड़ा होता है, उससे वृषोत्सर्ग करनेवालेके पितर निस्संदेह चन्द्रलोकमें जाते हैं
pitaraḥ tena gacchanti somalokam asaṁśayam |
释迦罗说道：“由此善行，祖灵（Pitṛ）必定无疑往生苏摩之界（Soma-loka）。”就其语境而言，此颂赞叹放牛施（vṛṣotsarga，放生公牛）之功德：即便那公牛立于河岸或池畔，以角掀泥而起，行此放施者之祖先亦必无疑往至月界。
