तेडप्येवं नाभिजानन्ति पितृकार्यविनिश्चयम् । वर्जयित्वा महात्मानं चिरजीविनमुत्तमम्
teḍ apy evaṁ nābhijānanti pitṛkārya-viniścayam | varjayitvā mahātmānaṁ cirajīvinam uttamam ||
即便是他们，如此也并不真正明了应当如何裁定对祖灵（Pitṛ，祖先神灵）所当尽之事；唯有那位至上、伟大之魂、卓绝而长寿者例外——唯独他不应被排除在此等理解之外。
