भीष्म उवाच साम्ना प्रसाद्यते कश्नचिद् दानेन च तथा पर: । पुरुषप्रकृतिं ज्ञात्वा तयोरेकतरं भजेत्
bhīṣma uvāca | sāmnā prasādyate kaścid dānena ca tathā paraḥ | puruṣa-prakṛtiṁ jñātvā tayor ekataraṁ bhajet ||
毗湿摩说道：有人可用温和的调和之道（sāma，怀柔）来折服，有人则须以馈赠之物来赢取。因此，洞察一个人天生的性情，应在这两种手段中择其所宜而行。
