अथागत्य महातेजा भुगुर्ब्रह्मविदां वर: । अगस्त्यमाश्रमस्थं वै समुपेत्येदमब्रवीत्,उसी दिन ब्रह्मवेत्ताओंमें श्रेष्ठ महातेजस्वी भूगुजी अपने आश्रमपर बैठे हुए अगस्त्यके निकट आये और इस प्रकार बोले--
athāgatya mahātejā bhṛgur brahmavidāṃ varaḥ | agastyam āśramasthaṃ vai samupetyedam abravīt ||
毗湿摩说道:于是,光辉赫奕的婆利古——诸知梵者之最上——来到坐于林居道场中的阿迦斯提耶近前,对他说了如下言辞。
भीष्म उवाच
This verse functions as a framing device: it establishes Bhrigu’s spiritual authority (as foremost among Brahman-knowers) and the respectful setting (approaching Agastya in his hermitage), preparing the listener to treat the forthcoming counsel as dharmic and reliable.
Bhishma narrates that the sage Bhrigu arrives at Agastya’s hermitage, approaches him while he is seated there, and begins to speak—introducing a sage-to-sage instruction sequence.
