ज्योतिस्तेज: प्रकाशं वाप्यूर्ध्वगं चापि वर्ण्यते । प्रदानं तेजसां तस्मात्‌ तेजो वर्धयते नृणाम्‌

Transliteration

jyotistejaḥ prakāśaṃ vāpy ūrdhvagaṃ cāpi varṇyate | pradānaṃ tejasāṃ tasmāt tejo vardhayate nṛṇām ||

Translation

舒克罗说道：“光明（tejas）被描述为辉耀与照明，亦为向上升腾之物。因此，施与光明之源，能增长人的自身tejas——以照亮他人的功德，增益其光彩、名声与道德威仪。”
